You got me, I am a loser troll. While I take some time to cry and absorb your comments, you can hug your soft California buddy because the two of you agreeing proves you're both correct.

Also you idiots never addressed the original question, why you guys are so soft.

People give you stares of disaproval if your the type of person that looks like to have somewhere to go, commitments to make, likes to dress up for business etc. Just no sense of working to "get ahead". What gives? Do people here just prefer others to be as miserable, non-goal oriented, aim-less and broke as they are?
You are these people.

Anyways I was just venting. Personally I think the weather is great here, but I like the east coast better in terms of the relationships, people and the overall attitude of most people. I just gel well with folks who are more honest about themselves and know how to stick up for themselves without complaining or crying. Those types are usually laughed out of New York City. Its very soft.

How can people live like this day and day out and not go crazy?
The people from the East Coast do go crazy. The people here are a bunch of soft *******; hence the reason we go back. People here are more fixated on condo height laws, vegan cupcakes, and driving a hybrid. This is the type of place where participation trophies are born and where trees are people. Don't try to make sense of it because we can't.

Enjoy the weather while you're here and figure out when you can get the **** out. That's the only solution. People are what matters most in life, and we just don't like most of the ones in SF. That's why more people move to Manhattan in spite of the grind, ****ty weather, and constant madness. It's just a better place to be.

Why do New Yorkers think they are so tough? It's an act that's why, people like you live vicariously all the mafioso stereotypes that have come out of back east living, so you feel that you are some how tougher and more street smart. It's a facade.

Complaining about everything makes you sound like the "*******" you're complaining about. Waaaa waaaaa I hate it here. Ok, well pack your shi* and get the hell out already.

I love the humor on this forum Yeah, it is generally the least secure a person the more they are threatened by different people. If stuckinsf is so unnerved by those who treat women with utmost respect\ equality than it must be due to a shallow ego. Posters like him reveal more about themselves than they realize and it is a sad portrait.

Yeah, I wonder how a bunch of "softies" and passive tree huggers could possibly make their lives so miserable!

Yeah, we're the wimps.

I think the truth is that people haven't been that nice to them here, they haven't made friends as easily as they thought, perhaps don't fit in the way they expected. Who knew that a vegan cupcake could cause such rage!

They're misplacing their anger at a few women that got grossed out when they were approached by some guy that pointed to his crotch, flexed his bicept, and spoke like he was from the show, "Jersey Shore" .

Hahaha Jersey shore!!! That's a great one!

I don't think people here are soft. I remember walking in to the locker room at the Y last November or so and these two older guys were about to throw down right in front of me because one of them thought the other guy's kid was a girl. Maybe there are some softties but I thought that's the general trend everywhere now so girls don't feel threatened by dudes aka easier to get girls? Just my 2 cents

The whole notion of San Francisco supposedly being "soft" comes from those who still are uncomfortable around gays [as strange as that may sound ]. San Francisco also is ground zero for movements like anti-war\ anti-military. It leans socialistic & only elects Democrats. From the perspective of a conservative unaccustomed to human diversity & frightened by a more tolerant lifestyle, San Francisco actually threatens their self-confidence & they lash out in anger like a cornered animal. Maybe if they lived in California for a while they would relax [take another hit on the pipe & kick it

San Franciscans have the guts to be different\ progressive.
