The Pleasant Hill BART station is really close to the BevMo store too!

Beverages & More is a great liquor store, if you aren't from California or Arizona. Fantastic wine selection.

Pleasant hill sounds like exactly the type of place I would want to ck into.
Is it a long Bart commute into the city. Also, given that it is a smaller town are there apartment complexes in the area that you know of

The commute from the Pleasant Hill BART station to the Embarcadero station (the first stop in San Francisco) is about 37 minutes. A large transit village, which will have many apartments and other amenities, is currently being built next to the Pleasant Hill station, with a completion date later this year. There are other apartments near the station and some further away. Depending on your budget, you might consider renting a townhouse is one of the complexes that are less than a mile from the station. Walnut Creek can be congested during commute hours, but that is true for most of the Bay Area.

When are you moving? They are building a gigantic luxury apartment complex and transit village adjacent to the Pleasant Hill BART which is actually in Walnut Creek. It looks like it will be done in about 6 months, maybe sooner.

We don't have the exact move date but we estimate to be about 6-8 weeks. Do you happen to know the name of the complex. I would like to look into online as we have discussed just getting a short term lease at first while we look around to find what we really want

I had a couple friends that lived in Archstone Apartments in Walnut Creek. You would just have to walk across the BART parking lot to get to BART. I think that they liked it, they lived there for quite a few years. Here is the website, if you would like to check it out.

Check out Villa Montanaro Apartments in Pleasant Hill. It's about a 1/2 mile from the Pleasant Hill BART station and less than a 1/4 mile from the Iron Horse Trail. I lived there for 18 months before I lost my job and had a good experience.

Also check out Dublin. The beauty of it is it's at the end of the BART line.

The name of the transit village is Avalon Bay: Avalon Walnut Creek - Walnut Creek, CA Apartments The completion date is supposedly spring of 2010, but it will probably be late spring or early summer. There is an Extended Stay right over the border in Pleasant Hill that might work for you while you are looking.
