Default property management in Santa Rosa area?

We are looking into a possible move out of state. We own a home in Santa Rosa in a nice area. We can't sell it for what we'd like to, of course, so we are talking about renting it out until the market picks up again. Do any of you know of a good property management co? We'd sell eventually, so maybe it's better to go with a realtor?

I can't speak to a recommendation, but property management firms require a real estate license to do business and most of them are Realtors anyway. Some of them do property management as a loss leader so that they can represent sellers in the future.

Thanks for your reply!!
I was wondering about that. We've never used a property management company before. Good to hear that they are also realtors.
The whole idea is so new to us right now and you hear so many different things nowadays about renting. I've heard that it's a great time to have rental with so many people out of their homes or who can't get loans to buy a home. And then I've also heard that people are shorting on their rents more often now too. Guess we'll find out...

I am very new to posting so please excuse if not appropriate. I was exploring the forums and found this very relevant post. My daughter and her husband are planning to move to Santa Rosa in the very near future. They have decided to rent before they buy so they can evaluate the area. With a baby coming they would prefer a single family house instead of an apartment.

Is there a particular management company you would recommend for Santa Rosa?

Or should I start a new thread? I suppose if no one replies I will start a new thread!!

Thank you!
