Yep, you got me figured out. Must be nice being so smart. Maybe I'll reach your plateau one day if lucky enough.

Oh ... well I guess there is nothing to strive for then. Want to start a war? You can have CA, OR, and WA. I'll take AL, FL, GA, and LA. It will be fun . Have to use nerf though. I'm not much into killing or dying.

Neither was the South, which is why they quit after Grant and Sherman taxed them a bit.

Lots of interesting view points here. I think to some degree almost everyone here has some valid points.

I for one will not deny that racism exist in Ca. Trust me, I've run across some crazy people in that camp.

What I find interesting is the comparison of Georgia to Indiana. I almost agree with In. being worse than Ga. Indiana is supposed to have one of the highest populations of KKK in the country. But South Carolina has the largest number of hate groups, meaning variety of hate groups. Racist In. helped vote in a black president. Slightly less racist Ga. did not. This of course also has to do with political beliefs but both are known republican strongholds and both, according to what we are reading in this thread harbor lots of racist.

I've never been to either place. I have friends who've been to Atlanta. They always tell me that they've never seen so many confederate flags in their lives. I can't substantiate that, only repeating what I've heard. I also know people from In. but they don't strike me in any way one way or the other.

What I wonder is, if the history behind the Confederate Flag has been skewed, why is that? Why is it that if some truly were taught that wrong history that they don't realize there's another part of that history when so many of us are basically shouting to them that there is?

Sorry for the run-on sentences lol

That is a good one. Keep bringing them.

I hope you don't think a majority of modern southerners are torn the confederacy lost. I, for one, am glad the union won. I am a economic statist/semi-socialist, although still a social libertarian. But I still love the south and my bretheren and feel I have to defend it against ignorant generalizations like yours.

With that being said, I know it's tough to recognize your own situation. Can't expect much when everyone on the west coast (except for southern transplants there for work) is politically ignorant blonde hippy gnarly surfers wearing bead necklaces and and baby blue board shorts. Except in San Fran where they all wear black-rimmed glasses and sip coffee, while hating the south.

Not sure this is true. Some from the South are racists. And it may be more overt. But the most openly hateful people I have met are from Boston.

Racism - it always comes to this topic...

I have also lived in all regions of the US and when it comes to racism, each has their own distinctive form of discrimination.

I will say this: Being part Mexican I have never had so much racism directed at me until I moved to Southern California. So for me, SoCal is a haven for racists...not Texas, not Georgia, not Alabama.

But it's understandable. It's hard to examine the area one lives in and realize that it's a haven for racist, all the way to the top levels of legislature.

Mr. Fantastic,

It's very hypocritical to me that you're here arguing where most racism lies, when you even admitted to purposely serving Hispanics less food at your restaurant.

Is Orange County the most racist county in California?
