To say that SF State is "located in an overcast fogbank about 360 days/year" is a gross exaggeration/misstatement. I happen to work just blocks away from SFSU, and the truth is the area weather is overwhelmingly sunny the majority of the time. It is only in the summer that this and other areas closer to the beach are reliably foggy for days at a time, and much of the rest of SF barely gets free of the fog on those days as well. Until you've spent day in and day out in one of these neighborhoods, it's easy to believe the stereotype that they are forever fogged in. It just happens not to be true.
