San Pablo opinion please
Hello,
Can I please have an opinion on this area of San Pablo, Rollingwood Drive at Fordham Ave, near Contra Costa College. I have an opportunity to live there and I could use your advice.
Activities, jogging, biking, restaurants, etc.
How is the access to San Francisco, drive time, bus, etc.
Thank you

The area around CCC is pretty rough. Its pretty close to North Richmond which is a terrible place. As far as shops etc I'm not to familiar with them but there are plenty of liquor stores in the area. The closest bart station I believe is in Richmond.

Don't be afraid of darker skin that comes with that area. Check it out and get a "real" perspective, not an ignorant and sheltered one.

The area right around the college isn't terrible even though I personally wouldn't live there. If one doesn't have kids and lives in a gated community, I'd say it's ok.

I think ALL perspectives are valid... and FYI, I work in that area agree it's not very safe. That doesn't mean I wouldn't live there (in fact I've considered it) or wouldn't recommend anyone else live there - but they deserve to hear the facts, right?
Edit: I don't think that particular location is horrible, but not where I'd suggest if you want something "safe" and/or quiet. You might try El Cerrito or Albany instead, and Richmond also has some decent neighborhoods to offer - despite its overall bad reputation.
