Depends on what you consider "good" weather, since that's a relative term... today it's cold & foggy, and I'm LOVING it!

I don't think I'm in a minority here
So my opinion doesn't count because I'm a pale person? Seriously though, I know it's far from warm here, but our mild winters make up for the cool summers... if you're the type who's not into snow & ice, that is.

But I'm married so I have my honey, or I'd have run screaming back to PA.

My nephew, moved from Pittsburgh PA, to Norfolk VA, and found sort of the same vibe -- he'd try to throw a barbecue and people would say they'd show up and then not... or show up and leave quick...

He was miserable there for about a year and half when his Dad got ill with brain cancer and it gave my nephew the reason to come home. He's now very happy back in Pittsburgh.

Good luck!

I've never had a problem with my friends being flaky, but I grew up here - so most have been friends since childhood, and are technically from the burbs. I do see it in some San Franciscans, though! Admittedly, I'm a tad flaky myself, so I really try not to complain about it.

It's hard to argue for a point out of context. I'll give you an example: my friends in NYC are very driven and "straight-up" they'll do anything once and will even push you to do it. NYC has this dog-eat-dog mentality. Chill/laid-back people just can't make it there.

The whole California mentality is "laid-back", "chill", "easy-going". San Francisco even magnifies this by having hippies here and there that influence the behavior even more.

75° would be the upper limit. That's only 5° away from hot. Tonight we were at Oktoberfest in Tiburon. Quite pleasant sitting outside having dinner and a few beers. It was 57°. About half were wearing jackets. I didn't hear anyone complaining about it being cold not even all the kids walking around in just T-Shirts.

That's Tiburon -- drive 10-15 miles in any direction and you'll find great weather. SF is a different story, and I'm not even referring to Sunset or Richmond
