Yee-haw!!! That was a GOOD one... 5.6 according to the USGS, centered in Alum Rock. We felt it pretty strong here, so I knew it had to be above a 4! My roommate just moved here from Florida, so I told him it was his official welcome to SF. Everyone okay??

My husband just called me from the San Fran airport and said everyone was screaming. He seems to be a bit shaken...literally.

I swear I'm feeling every micro quake after the 5.6. I know I can't be, they're < 2.0 but I have the post quake excitement running through the muscles.

Yeah, it makes sense that people at the airport would scream, since there are a lot of non-San Franciscans there! Locals usually just think it's fun, unless it was big enough to cause real damage... Hope everyone is okay, though!

Screaming? Well, on the bright side there will be a lot of tourists who will have a great story to take home with them.

It's near San Jose, so about 40-50 miles south of San Francisco (where I am)... we still felt it STRONG, though, so hopefully there wasn't any damage down there! My sister is only about 5-10 miles from SJ, and she has a brand-new baby - guess I should check on her, huh?

Or cause the power to go off. That's a real drag.
