Best city/ place in Bay Area for a finance job?
I’m FP&A and moving to SF bay area. Which city/ place(s) I will have a better opportunity to find a job ASAP? My recruiters focus on the internal finance position within the Bay area IT companies.
Try to land my household stuff in an area with better job opportunities
Also how is the job market for a Sr Financial Analyst in Bay area? Easy/hard? High/ Low paid?
Thanks for all your suggestions!

San Francisco. They call it the Financial District for a reason!

San Francisco. Without a doubt. One of the financial capitals of the country.

Not so much, that area is centered almost exclusively around high tech.

Sonarrat,
Thanks again!
Seems like I've to find recruiters in SF too. My recruiters are in silicon valley and trying to find me positions with the high tech companies there. Wrong direction before.

Silicon Valley has some financial jobs around Sand Hill Road in Menlo Park where all the tech financiers work. You could give that area a shot.
But for the most part,
Downtown San Francisco is home to thousands of finance jobs.

Sand Hill Road in my mind is all about investment capital ventures.. so that might be a rather closed field for someone new to the area. But hey, what do I know.

Thank you both!
Do you have any names for any companies out there?
On the other hand, I'll appreciate any other thoughts/ suggestions you may have.
Thanks,

Another side note.
Sand Hill Road actually has the highest price per sq ft of office space in the whole Bay Area-probably the west. I think rates ran $1000 per sq ft in one recent deal. At least that's what I read a few months back.
As far as companies,
many of the people down there run smaller venture capital and angel investor firms. Think private equity. I know KKR(Kohlberg Kravis & Roberts) has an office down there(or least used to), dont know about now.
