And then on the other hand, upper income males tend to care far less about how much money, or how old a woman is. A common complaint mentioned in one book I've come across was for upper income women to say that upper income men are too "shallow" - that they date poorer women. Yet at the same time, these women refused to date men simply because they weren't wealthy (middle income wasn't good enough)! And they're more likely to prefer sleeping around with wealthy men, than lower income women.

Of course these are averages, and only that. Each person is different (thank God, since otherwise my broke ass would never get a date ). It's just that overall, there may be very significant trends in what men/women look for with regards to finding partners. And I'm guessing there are a lot of wealthy women, or women of wealthy families, in the Bay Area!

gizmo980 with what you say about girly-men and such... do you think this is found at face value quickly, or more as you/others get to know a guy? I just wonder if you have an opinion on how women in general may tend to judge this - whether they go more by first impression, or after getting to know the person. I think (as a male) that sometimes a guy who comes across as masculine at face value is actually just fronting and covering up personality traits IMO, whether they realize it or not. Especially guys that are quick to anger or have much pride.
So men that are masculine are covering up? Is this scientific or your theory?

Plus I've never really clicked with the Jewish guys in general, which is why I've never actually dated one - so maybe I'm too choosy, which can be a good thing sometimes. Though like I said, religion (or race) isn't a requirement for me, since I'm open to anyone with a kind heart & whatever else I find attractive... it would just be nice to end up with a Jewish man, to avoid the complications with marrying inter-faith.

P.S. If you're having trouble finding "white" women, that's really odd! This area is at LEAST 50-60% Caucasian, so you should have more than enough to choose from. Do you only date white women, or simply prefer them? (not judging, just asking) And what about a white-Jewish woman? My skin is so white it's practically clear, LOL.

no to be honest im a typical male i love all woman, they just find me rather obnoxious(imagine that) im in berkeley now and i get home sick for pleasanton girls every once and a while. but i really do the love the diversity, its just in berkeley for example when i date a black woman or mexican woman i get dogged while im holding hands walking down the street. but i guess i could say the same if a minority was dating a white woman in pleasanton. I guess its just hard for me to accept that i have to endure culture shock on the other side of the hill from where i grew up! Im personally a christian by culture not by faith. Im agnostic or confused so I don't judge woman on religion.

I think you need to burn that book. It sounds like a lot of BS.

That means culturally I'm a christian. I celebrate the holidays. I was baptised as a youth, if i were to join the military my dog tag would have a "p" for protestant. when some one dies in the family we hold the funeral and there is a church service and a man of the cloth at the burial site. do i as a faith practice christianity, cant really say that i do. cant remember the last time i was in church. havent prayed since i was much younger, etc.

He-he, income doesn't appear to be a problem in SF. Sexual orientation is! A lot of women there seem to complain about it...

Why bother with that at all if you're agnostic? Christianity isn't about "acting" like you're one, you either are, or aren't.
