Stoneridge mall. Whats your age and take your pick? Teenie boppers, blonde bimbos that go to community college?, "older", more established, wealthy women??

oh yea economics hah. when i tell girls i grew up in pleasanton and my parents still live there, its all smiles.all questions. "where did you go to school, what do you do, how much do you make?" "How much do your parents make?"

if im freshly drenched in sweat after skating, at the local dive(blakes), un shaven, in berkeley woman just assume im another local. i prefer it that way, i was brought up to believe atleast as far as woman goes money doesnt matter, because as my dad jokingly put it, "you'll wind up paying for everything sooner or later anyways". but i always pay attention to a womans financial stability and habits. if you get some girl who lives off of a credit card and expects men to pay for everything than your in for some trouble. i dont care how good looking she is. Im not for welfare and if a woman cant pull her own weight financially than she's just gonna have to sink rather than swim.

maybe thats your perception but i think deeper than that. For the most part i bothered with "all that" because i was a child and didn't really have much of a say.Second I love gifts(especially from parents), and i love the holiday season.Third when some one dies I find it appropriate and comferting that someone knowledgable in religion is speaking after some one passes. but this us not about my religion this is about woman in SF so if you have more questions about my faith message me.

Why don't you ask 100 million Americans. Maybe they can answer it for you...
There is a culture behind it, whether you say so or not. And it's more popular than devout Christianity.

I think I get what he's saying -- I'm a non-practicing Methodist myself. I was raised in that church, I'm familiar with the dogma, but I'm not sure about the whole thing -- call me questioning?

But if you asked I'd say, with no hesitation, I'm a Christian, United Methodist Church.

I love the recent ads of the UMC -- they draw my attention and I knew instinctively what church they were before they said it.

Okay, thanks for your answer. I think I understand what you mean.

Thanks, I understand what you mean. I've just never heard of it as a "culture" before.

I think (as a male) that sometimes a guy who comes across as masculine at face value is actually just fronting and covering up personality traits IMO, whether they realize it or not. Especially guys that are quick to anger or have much pride.
I definitely don't judge a guy at face-value, unless there's clearly something wrong... I'm the type who holds judgment until I know somebody, since I've been fooled by first impressions before. As for the "girly man" comment, I didn't mean any offense by that - just that I'm typically attracted to a scruffier, more masculine type of guy. Tattoos, 5 o'clock shadow, slightly longer hair (or bald), large frame, etc... THAT is my personal preference. However, I do appreciate good hygiene and neat clothing, so a little bit of grooming is definitely okay.

Yes I figured. I wonder how much most women take the face value of it. Especially with the supposed shallow materialism in the Bay Area (or California in general) that might be all myth for all I know. Certainly you didn't come across as offensive with "girly man" - unless you're talking about an economic girly man??? You didn't mean that, did you?
