Default SCARED! Need conservative neighborhood for 3 daughters!

Our family is being relocated to the San Francisco area. I am the mother of 3 excelling conservative daughers ages 14 to 6. We are relocating from the quite town of Vail, Arizona where my oldest daughter had to fight off a pervert, atheist teacher the first day of high school. We are originally from Texas. My oldest plays club volleyball, middle soccer, little one karate. My husband is being promoted but the pay scale is 170 to 200 annually. My families growth and happiness means everything to me.

The Peninsula is much more conservative than San Francisco. Check out Menlo Park....great community, darling downtown, excellent schools, very family oriented, etc. Home to Menlo Park Presbyterian Church, which is fantastic (programs for moms, kids, dads, everyone!).

While just about all of the SF bay area is liberal, I agree with above post. Menlo Park is a nice area. If you're Catholic, check out the Sacred Heart Schools in Menlo Park - much better than the public schools.

This has to be a joke. How are perversion and atheism at all related?

Yes, we have earthquakes from time to time, with the somewhat big ones coming every couple of decades. It's no big deal. There are many 100 year old houses, churches, schools, etc still standing. Hurricanes in Florida and along the gulf coast do far more damage than earthquakes. In fact, more buildings were destroyed in wild fires in CA this year than have been destroyed by quakes in the last 50 - 80 years.

Crime in Menlos Park is low, however east of Hwy 101 in east Menlo Park and East Palo Alto, it's higher than average.

If this were true us Tucsonans would've heard about it happening. Teachers here make the 5:00 news if they say anything that even be considered remotely offensive to someone somewhere.

It does sound like a joke. You can find this anywhere, anytime, even in conservative neighborhoods. San Francisco, from what you say, is far too liberal for you.

An Atheist? Oh, the horror! People here generally don't care who or what you are, but you might want to become a bit more tolerant, since Atheists are more common than religious folks here.. and if you go around with a bad attitude towards them, you will run into some problems. That being said, we have plenty of private religious schools here (of ALL types), so I'm sure you can find something to your liking - Notre Dame in Belmont is a very good Catholic high school, though I believe it's fairly expensive (if that matters). Good luck...

P.S. Don't worry about earthquakes - big ones are rare (only 1 significant quake in the 25 years I've lived here), and the small ones are kinda fun! Just make sure you have an earthquake preparedness kit, and get insurance if you own a home.
