I currently live in Santa Clara. Where should I move to live if:
-My wife is gonna work in Richmond (good offer!!) -I've to work in San Jose p. s. She has another offer to work in Foster City but it's less attractive than the other offer. Thanks! ![]() |

Need more info to make an educated suggestion. Picking a place to live your situation does not just involve picking some middle point. Otherwise in theory any point between Richmond and Santa Clara will do.
What can you afford? What are your preferences (weather, yard space, etc.)? What is your life style (hangout mostly at home, dine out a lot, city person)? Without those info, just making general recommendation, I'd say have your wife commute by BART to avoid the always congested 880 or 101. I find the time on BART to be rather useful actually, because many things are blocked out. In that case, you can try to shorten your commute as much as possible because your extra 20-30 minutes is an mere extra 5 minutes for her. That means you can live around Fremont or Union City, which is pretty nice neighborhoods. |
