Default Wanting to move from ohio to bay area for teaching job

I'm a high school social studies education major in ohio, wanting to move to the bay area/san jose in 2 years after I graduate. Knowing that the demand for high school social studies teachers is relatively low, which schools in the area have the most demand, comparatively speaking? I am willing to work in any school, I don't care how ghetto or terrible it is. anybody have any advice on the matter? Thanks.

First question... Why do you want to do this? It is a very important question.

You may have a very difficult time affording a decent lifestyle on a teachers salary here in the Bay Area. First, find out the stats on salary and housing. As far as teaching jobs? The schools are all in debt here and some lay more off than they hire. The best way to get your foot in the door would be to take a job as a substitute teacher, though your salary will be barely enough to provide yourself with housing and food. Do you like living with roomates?
