Default Santa Rosa Senior Mobile Home Parks

Can anyone tell me if any of the senior mobile home parks are located in a safe part of Santa Rosa?

Thanks

My parents just closed a sale (quickly) on thier home in Santa Rosa - (thier Realtor walks on water)...I'll ask them thier opinion about this.

If you can name the ones you're interested in, I can be more specific.

Stay away from the Santa Rosa Ave parks and you should be OK. Valle Vista, and The Orchard are good. You own your property in Valle Vista. There are a couple off Fulton Rd that are clean, but getting onto Fulton Rd can be a bear. Fircrest in Sebastopol is nice. My grandparents retired there years ago. I remember they had lots of activities and the people were very nice. There are a couple parks in the Rincon Valley area, but I don't know much about them. Oh yeah, stay away from the parks in Rohnert Park, no matter how good the price.

I was very interested in hearing some answers to this question...I am new to this site and not sure how it works...am I missing something or did the topic just get dropped?

I want to move to Sonoma County, my kids live in Windsor, but I keep hearing these horror stories about Santa Rosa, that I have to watch out for this area and that area....none of it sounds very safe....why is there such a problem with gangs and violence in Santa Rosa? How long has this been going on and what about the police...it's sounding like another LA or something....

Yes santa rosa has a problem with gangs, but crime is not outta of control in the city by any means, though crime and homicide in the city has been on the rise. Most all of Santa Rosa is a very nice place to live with very nice and friendly people. Santa Rosa is a HQ city for the infamous Norteno's street gang. The bad parts of town are not that bad. These areas are still less desirable and if you want to stay away from crime than avoid them. They are South Park which is east of 101 and south of highway 12 right next to the Sonoma County fairgrounds in between that and santa rosa avenue. IMO the worst part of town along with parts of west santa rosa such as roseland. which is located directly across 101 to the west of downtown. Roseland is by the railroads in an industrial part of town. Just avoid this area from west of 101 to stony point road and from west 3rd street north to west 9th street. In certain areas around coddington mall there is a couple of sketchy blocks but nothing serious. Moorland avenue in the south sort of unicorporated part of town is know for its gang activity though again it is not so bad.
