Social Scene - Friends/Networking (San Francisco, Pacifica: live, to move, requirements)

My question pertains to the Social Scene (Friends)

Just moved to San Francisco from Boston last week.
I'm a single but in a relationship Female late 20's/early 30's no children..

Are there Networking groups out there, that anyone can recommend or information to stay away from? Young Professional Groups? I realize as with any move there is an adjustment period to make friends/other couples etc...

Any recommendations? We fell in love with the coastal town of Pacifica, but hit the city often. Both individual and couple oriented events.

Are there websites out there that focus on happenings/opportunites and updated regularly?

Hi there! I actually lived in Pacifica for a little while, and also fell in love... I've been wanting to move back there ever since. Anyway, there are lots of good social opportunities here, depending on what you want exactly. If you're looking for something with just women, you can try the Junior League - my sister's a member, and has met some nice friends there. I'm not sure of the exact requirements for membership, but if you're really interested I can ask my sister. And here's their website - http://www.jlsf.org/sf/index.jsp
There are also lots of religious-based groups... I'm Jewish, and belong to a Young Adult's network through one of SF's Synagogues. There should be similar groups at different churches & temples, if you're into that kind of thing.

Another great source is Craigslist (add a dot-org), which you might be familiar with from Boston... it's basically a community message board, where you can chat with people or just read about what's going on. I'm sure there are lots more, but I'll have to do some research & get back to you. Welcome to the area!
