Default San Francisco: The city with the inconveniences of a dense urban area but without the bennefits (Rant)

Does anyone agree with me that the city of San Francisco is densely popupalted for nothing? This city has the annoyances of crowding, crime, grime, graffitti, trash, homeless, etc that is generally associated with dense urban areas (well in the US at least), but little of the bennefits that one would expect from a densely populated city; it's hard to find basic necessities, transit is slow and inefficient, and most businesses close early. I think it's quite sad that even the fourth ave district in Tucson, Az is more bustling at midnight than the majority of neighborhoods in San Francisco. I can go on but want to see what you folks have to say.

But can you see this in Detroit?

Are you serious? It has sooooo many things to offer, it would be silly to even bother listing them.

No City can please all the people all the time-not even San Francisco.

SF is more show than go. All that cutesy stuff takes a back seat when all the negatives fester on you on a day to day basis. Besides, I think the architecture in SF is just okay. It's decent, but not my cup of tea and not too diversified.

Your right. Perhaps one day if we try hard enough, we'll be at Tucson's level.

LOL

That's the point. For being the second most densely populated city in the US, SF's nightlife blows. And it is quite sad that a sparsely populated and sprawling city such as Tucson has a few neighborhoods that give SF hoods a run for its money in terms of bustling nightlife.
