Temp housing for surgery
Will be needing temporary housing in or near the marina district for about three weeks while undergoing surgery/recovery - any suggestions other than hotel?

bump ... housing needed for up to one month ... not necessarily in marina district. Surgery will be through the University medical center.

UCSF?
If so, the hospital should be able to provide you with a social worker that has a list of places. Most are hotels, some are short term rentals.

You might be able to find a sublet on craigslist: city of san francisco sublets & temporary classifieds - craigslist
Will you be needing daily help, or can you live unassisted during that time period?

thanks for the response and question - surgery was delayed until this October. I will likely need some assistance for just a few days after the surgery.... I'm trying to figure that one out too.

Yes there is..
Hi, there is a place for people to recover after surgery. It is called The Post Op Recovery Place, Inc. Its in San Francisco. The number is 415-642-1201.
The owner's name is Gwen. I was going to stay for my surgery but decided to just go home.

It is a good option but at $360 a night it's out of my range. I think someone will accompany me for several days after surgery on their way to more fun things.
