Default low cost housing near san francisco?

i am looking to moving back to cal.. i like the bay area but it cost soo much for rent and i would like to buy low cost land with then 75 miles of the bay is that like a acre or two for a mobile home or to build a house on.. where is the best deals on land at? with in 75 miles? looking to spend around 10 grand tops.. any ideas?

You won't find anything except unbuildable PUD (Planned Urban Development) land in Half Moon Bay, strictly for investment purposes only. And it won't be anywhere near an acre. I've looked. You have to go 82 miles out to find 4792 square feet in Stockton for $20,000, at 121 E Church St.
