Default Volleyball in San Francisco?

Im thinking of moving to SF.. I am really into volleyball, especially 2v2 Beach volleyball. Are there any beaches in/near SF where you can just go and find a pickup game of beach volleyball? Any other advice on where to find games or where find information on the SF volleyball scene?

There is always vollyball going on at the beach in Santa Cruz, next to the boardwalk. Nets are left up during the summer months.

Santa Cruz is pretty decent drive from the city right? Good to know about for special occasions and weekends though thanks! Was also looking for something close to the city for quick trips after work and stuff

I would love to find a beach pickup game too. i play at the marina green in the league on the grass, but seems like we should have a beach pickup game in the sf too!

Anyone know of something, or how to petition SF Parks & Rec to get the equipment out there? how do they do it in so.cal?

Default I want in on beach games

Used to play in Santa Cruz all the time too. Am in SF now and haven't touched a volleyball in years.

Would be into knowing if you get a game going.

Cheers

I'd say just set up a net at one of the beaches. Pick up games will happen.
