do not live there or in roseland, apple valley, and west ninth. those the extreme ghettos. im from apple valley which is home to the nortenos, the worst gang in santa rosa, it seems like the police are over there all the time. There are always fights stabbings and robberies, my advice stay away.

Uh, Bennett Valley isn't north of Hwy 12. And it's not dangerous either, there's robberies everywhere.

The safe areas of SR are fountaingrove (if you're wealthy), rincon valley, bennett valley (not the area near south park), oakmont (if you're over 55), north SR around larkfield/wikiup, and NW SR around piner. I'd stay away from roseland, south park, apple valley, anything near dutton ave, the newer places in SE SR around kawana/yolanda/burt, and around coddingtown.

It may be bad for Santa Rosa, but your making it sound like it is Richmond or Oakland and that is not true.
