Hmm... All this "study" shows is which cities are the hottest in the summertime. I'd wager SF, with people getting to work on packed buses, walking or riding their bikes, is far sweatier than Phoenix where everyone is in their air-conditioned car.

There are two reasons that this is wrong:

1. All the hills.
2. The micro climates. You dress in a jacket because it's 50 degrees where you live, then you go across the city, and it's 75. Couple this with the aforementioned hills, and it's even worse.

Bonus reason: all the heatwaves we've been getting recently.

Well, in '06 I was browsing through this outdoor market area near the civic center when I felt myself sweating like a pig. It was in the low-80's that day; however, I was having one heckuva hot-flash! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont think its saying we never sweat, just that we do so less here than elsewhere and I tend to agree with SF and Seattle being 1st and 2nd. Just super comfortable.

The only times I sweat are when I'm at the gym, and when I go to the south Peninsula. With the exception of our recent heat waves, the weather is just so darned comfortable here! It was such a glorious day today, even in the East Bay (where I work)... it was probably 70 degrees with a light breeze, and the city was really foggy when I got home at 7. When I think of my relatives sweating back east, I have to say ahhhhhhhhhhh.
