Default Emeryville to Dublin

We are moving to Emeryville to be closer to my school. My husband works in Dublin. Is it faster to ride BART or drive to Dublin? Also, roughly how long will each take?

Driving is proabably faster because he will be going the opposite direction of rush hour traffic and should be able to travel at speeds of 70+ MPH all the way to Dublin. However, I would reccomend that he take BART in order to lessen his carbon footprint. :-) It will take about 35 to 45 minutes to get to Dublin from Emeryville during rush hour. (Unless he has trouble getting to the 580 freeway from surface streets in Emeryville)

Driving is probably faster. I did a Rockridge, Oakland to Pleasanton commute and it was reliably 25 minutes door-to-door--so add on however long it takes you to get to the freeway and through the maze.

Traffic was never an issue, you can drive fast almost the entire way.

My commute is similar-- Dublin/Pleasanton to Oakland area. Definitely drive, unless your work is right next to a BART station. BART+bus ain't worth it, not by any shot.
