Default Millbrae---apartments near community center

I am looking for a place which is close to public transportation. I thought Millbrae would be ideal since it has the train and Bart. I looked on Craigslist and found a few places near community center (Richmond Drive) come with reasonable price. Does anyone know if it is a nice neighborhood? I really want to make sure it is in a safe area since I will be moving in with my 1-year old baby. Any comments would be helpful. Thanks for reading.

We live in Millbrae and my middle school age son & daughter both have several friends that live in the apartments on Richmond Drive and in the apartments closer to the library. It is a safe area. Lots of families and lots of kids of all ages.

Another place to look that is very safe and close to transportation is the apartments in Burlingame located on Murchison (across from Mills High School), Sequoia, Garden and Trousdale. It's a very nice area. I've noticed vacancy signs posted in front of a couple of the buildings.
