Default commute from Walnut Creek to Hayward

I'm thinking about moving to Walnut Creek. I'd be working in Hayward. I'd have to be in Hayward at 7 am. What could I expect on traffic and commute conditions/time from WC to Hayward at that time in the am ?

I would think you'd want to leave around 6 am to always make it on time. You may be able to push it to 6:10 or 6:15 after testing things. You could either go "through the tunnel" and down the 880, or down the 680 and then to the 580W and take one of the first exits and travel surface roads into Hayward. Walnut Creek is a great place to live.

Good observation. Getting over the hill into Oakland is the only problem I see, 24 can bunch up too from Lafayette but as you stated, the earlier he/she leaves the better.

Also, if BART is nearby that's also an option I definitely look into.
