Default Asian/African American Relations

Lived in the Bay Area from 2001-2004 and hung out all over the Bay Area quite often. For me, the chances of seeing any Asians and African Americans hanging together was as probable of seeing Iranian President Ahmadinejad and Israeli President Shimon Peres banging it out in a karyoke session then having tea followed by a spirited game of croquet. Anyone know of any progress on this point?

I can't say whether things have changed generally, but I am an African American whose spouse is part Asian and part African American and whose family members are African American, Asian and African-American/Asian. Within our network of friends and family at least, African American and Asians hang out together.

Eh, my Wife is Japanese/Korean and I have plenty of Asian friends of all nationalities. Not sure where you were but if you go into SF/Oakland or any urban area in the Bay you'll see plenty of Blacks hanging out with Asians and vice versa.
