I don't think too many people in the San Francisco forum would know anything about Oakhurst. It's about 150 miles to the southeast of SF in Madera County (south of Yosemite NP).

I just happened to catch this thread.

Best place in Oakhurst is Elderberry House, a 5 star and 5 diamond rated restaurant. Expensive but great food, plan on $100 per person minimum for dinner. Sunday Brunch is $45 per person.

After that it gets more limited in Oakhurst. People I know talk about Three Sisters Cafe, Crab Cakes or El Cid Meixcan. There are a few other possibles so let me know if you want more choices.

Depending upon their preference they might like to take the drive to Bass Lake and eat at Duceys or the Lakeside. Bass Lake is about a 15 minute drive from Oakhurst.

Another choice would be one of the restaurants at Chukchansi Casino, about 10 minutes from Oakhurst. I don't know if they do gift cards/certificates or not.
