if you are a minority child with a developmental disability, particularly African American, then you are seriously in trouble. I retired from the military in Dublin and had to fight a tremendous discrimination war against my disabled son. Needless to say, for the whole three years that my son attended Dublin High School, he never passed any of his classes and the school district refused to help us. I have heard similar horror stories coming from other African American, Hispanics, and economically disadvantaged white kids. Pleasanton continuation high school worked for my son. The Dublin Unified School District works on the Good Old Boy system

Good luck.

Saxmom -First off, thank you for serving our Country! I just wanted to get your thoughts on why you thought you were the victim of (racial?) discrimination and not just the recipient of plain old bad service by a governmental agency. Trying to make the argument that Dublin works on the "Good Old Boy" system is a little ridiculous compared to any other nearby city. Dublin has much more racial/economic diversity than Pleasanton, San Ramon, Livermore, or certainly Danville. Dublin has gone above and beyond regarding low income housing and a focus on diversity. The school district has also REFUSED to help me and my family! I've complained about various issues for the past 3 years. It's called the GOVERNMENT WORKER AND GOVERNMENT UNIONS.
