Any good places for hiking/trails in the city?
I'm moving to SF in a few months, and I was wondering if there's any good places for hiking trails within the city. I know there's Yosemite which isn't too far away, but I was looking for something actually in the city. Any suggestions?

I love hiking around Mount Tamalpais, it is so beautiful and 100% FREE. It's only about a 20 minute drive from the city across the GGB. Muir Woods is also nice, but the actual Muir Woods charges a small fee. There are also some mini hiking areas in San Francisco. I forget the actual names, but they are easy to find. One is at the North end of Ocean Beach...I think it's called some Fort. The other is near the GGB around Baker Beach. There's also an area around the Cliff House Restaurant.

Other than Golden Gate Park, which is flat, there aren't many walking/hiking trails in the city limits of San Francisco. But there are some gorgeous ones in western Redwood City along Edgewood Road, and in Woodside and La Honda.

The internet said to try Glen Canyon Park and Mt Davidson Park, Twin Peaks and McLaren Park:
Bay Area Hiker: Glen Canyon Park
Bay Area Hiker: Mount Davidson
Bay Area Hiker: Twin Peaks
Bay Area Hiker: McLaren Park
All of them are pretty short according to the site, less than 2 mi, some less than 1.
You can also go the Presidio, but that's more of a walk, here is the site's SF site:
Bay Area Hiker: San Francisco Hikes
I don't know if I would trust it, I live in the peninsula and there are a ton of places here, though. I'm not sure how easy it is to get to these parks.

Most of the places in the city proper are more for walking than hiking, but a couple that have not been mentioned are the Presidio and Ocean Beach. Both have great walking paths, and the bay over in the Presidio has hiking trails that connect to the trails around Point Lobos. Basically there is a trail/walking path system all the way from Daly City up the coast to the Bay and then around to Fisherman's Wharf.
