Smile Home Schoolers

Hey there everyone. I've gotten such good info. on this site, it's really helped. We'll be moving to the east bay area in July, not sure what town yet. Are there any home school groups in that general area? Any home schoolers into moto-cross or horse riding(our kids are). I thought this might help narrow down some areas to look at. Any help would be most appreciated.

I currently live outside of San Francisco and home school my high school age son. We don't belong to groups - saving that for next year when I retire and we move outta here! But, he is enrolled in Chlonlara School, and they have some great supports.

Hi,

http://www.trivalleyexplorers.com/ is an all-inclusive homeschooling group spanning from Antioch to Livermore and over to Orinda (though open to anyone who wants to join, but most of the scheduled activities are in that section). There are more than 300 families in the group, and activities every week day - more than one a day. There is also another group closer to the bay, called the Alameda/Oakland Home Learners group. I don't belong to that but they seem very active with plenty of organized events.
