Default Opinions on living in Larkspur-feedback GREATLY appreciated

Hi all,
I've been looking at places all around the bay area. It's been tough on my budget and needing a yard for my dogs. I did find a neat property in Larkspur that has everything I need. I'm a laid back 38 years young female, liberal and nature lover. I like Larkspur's location being so close to san fran, near the muir woods and not too far from the beach. But it's obviously a wealthy area. Is there any artistic, alternative and or hippy type community there? How's their downtown? Thanks!

Larkspur is nice. I've eaten in DT Larkspur a few times, always enjoyed it.

As far as artistic, alternative and or hippy type community goes I'd look into Fairfax if you want to stay in the North Bay area, it may be a better fit for you. Best of luck to you.
