Default Does Piedmont have mico-climates?

I realize that Piedmont has a fairly small footprint, but after living in San Francisco for over 13 years I also know that 1000 yards can make a radical difference in the weather. Does anyone know if Piedmont has some areas that are warmer than others during the summer months, and if so what are those areas?

We are considering a relocation from SF as our children approach school age. A large concern for me is to move someplace where I can spend time in the summer evenings outdoors without having to crank up a firepole. An easy commute to SF downtown is also a requirement. Good public schools are also an absolute, as well as some amount of "urban" feel.

Thanks!

Pretty small it is and I am not personally aware of micro-climates. That said, logic dictates that if you buy a place facing west you will get the benefits of the afternoon sun. Also, you might be able to buy high enough up to occasionally get some fog that those further down the hill just look up at. This happens to us occasionally in the Oakland Hills, but we are at a considerably higher elevation than anyone in Piedmont. And I never really notice significant temp variables from where we live and other areas of Oakland.

No Microclimates in Piedmont as far as I know of. I live about oh, 1-2 minutes from Piedmont and Im pretty sure the weather is the same as ours.

I'd agree Piedmont doesn't have microclimates. It is usually warmer than Berkeley, though. When I'm driving to and from work in the summer, the fog often seems to break right at Hwy 24.
