Default Working in Napa, need suggestions of nearby cities/towns to live for a single, mid-20yr old

I am moving to the Napa area for work. It is my understanding that Napa is beautiful and serene...and not a place a lot of young people hangout. I am a 26 year-old female, moving near Napa without knowing anyone out there. With that being said, I am definitely going to want to live in an area where there is some night-life and the ability to mingle with other young professionals.

I am relocating from Chicago (where we have our own nightmare of commute times), so I am willing to commute up to 1hr each way.

From what I read on some other threads, it sounds like commuting from SF to Napa would be a crazy idea?

I started thinking that maybe San Rafael would be a good area...but I don't know much about it. Does it have a city feel or more suburban like?

Also, I am confused about the fees to cross the bridges. Is that only for the Golden Gate bridge...or are there fees to cross over on other bridges?

Any input would be great!
