Sorry to burst your bubble.

I still wish Oakland was as dirt cheap on average as Chicago. One can only dream.

People only hate Boston if they have to drive in it.

LOL at Chicago not having a negative Image. Chicago has an extremely high crime rate. I take it you've never been there. NYC is not exactly what I'd call "Safe" either. There's more to NY than Mid Town. Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens, not exactly crime free.

Montclair, you think I can't do math? I guess you were hoping that I could'nt. Lets take a deeper look at those
misleading numbers:

Quote:
2.East Bay Cities by the Number of Households Earning $200,000+ Annually
Oakland 8,985
Fremont 7,147
Pleasanton 4,440
Berkeley 3,757
Concord 2,348
Alameda 1,941
Richmond 1,281
Hayward 1,079
Heres the calculated approximate percentages as % of the population with incomes over $200,000

Quote:
Oakland 8,985 420,183 2.17%
Fremont 7,147 211,000 3.44%
Pleasanton 4,440 66,544 7.14% LOL
Berkeley 3,757 102,743 3.70%
Concord 2,348 121,780 1.90%
Alameda 1,941 72,259 2.70%
Richmond 1,281 103,468 1.25%
Hayward 1,079 155,312 .69%
As you can see, Oakland has one one the lowest percentages of household incomes over $200,000 relative to population, only higher than richmond (lol), hayward and concord. And did you honestly think there were more rich as a percentage of population than Pleasanton? They have an astounding 7.14% rich ROFL. The median household income for the entire city of Pleasanton (not neighborhoods lol) is $101,022. You also said there were more rich in Oakland than Berkeley. In terms of absolute numbers yes, as a percentage no. Every other city (as expected) has more rich folks by percentage. The number you posted for Oakland was misleading because of Oaklands relatively high population. But make no mistake its still one of the poorest cities in california.

Oakland FAIL once again lol.

Actually Einstein you made a very, very serious mistake. The sort of flaw that deems stats useless.

You should be dividing by the number of households, not the total population.

LOL

Next.
