Yes, that goes without saying.

Newport Beach is synonymous with conservativism and wealth. Oakland is not synonymous with wealth but there are many, many wealthy households in this city-most don't know that.

Back in 1952, Newport Beach was a great place for young families. My father was a career Marine Corps officer and in the day they earned next to nothing so I decidedly did not grow up in a rich household.

My observation is that you spend far more time comparing relative incomes and educational levels than such an unimportant factor merits. It is not necessarily an overriding issue or mark when determining livability of anyplace. All have the Haves and the Have Nots. Oakland Hills is not indicative of the issues faced by downtown Oakland or some of its neighborhoods.

Oakland Hills and Downtown appear to be doing just fine as is the area around Jack London Square...

The area that has been having a rough go is out in the Avenues... all the way to the San Leandro Border.. at least this is my perspective.

Then I stand quasi-corrected. Been awhile since I ventured there.

The cost of living is also higher in almost all the liberal counties so you don't have much of a point. The cost of living in the Bay Area is legendary. Local wages have to compensate.

Adjust earnings to living costs and your point is moot.

And stats prove that life for many of us who arent republican conservatives actually is great.
In low crime liberal cities like San Jose life is wonderful, I'm sure.

I'm pretty sure that was mentioned because Bay Dude claims to be Black and is obviously not.

Even there, it seems to be block-by-block.

For example, driving along Seminary below Macarthur can be seen as hairy but turn at Picardy Dr or Morse Dr and suddenly its very quiet and the homes are immaculate.
