Also noting that the last Black Angus on the Peninsula (Foster City) is also kaput.
One of the grossest restaurants I've ever eaten..

A close second would actually be the Black Angus. Not very sad about this news.

. Why name your restaurant this, when the omission of one letter can forever ruin your food business.
And as far as AppleBee's is concerned, if their demise were linked to the end of the world, I would really be confused about what to wish for.

A co-worker of mine ate at Black Angus and missed 4 days of work 2 of those in the hospital because of food poisoning causing him to vomit to the point of severe dehydration. That alone keeps me out of that place, i've never seen somebody get that sick from eating out. Good news he lost 15 pounds in 4 days.

LOL, TGI Friday's has got to be one of the worst restaurants I have stepped foot in.

A close second would have to be Outback Steakhouse. I was never a fan of Red Lobster either (but their biscuits are AWESOME).

I sometimes agree with you, but this time I do not: TGIF is neither American or anti American. As for the food being crappy, that is strictly opinion. The food wasn't gourmet, but decent for the price. i don't know why you think it was responsible for closing down Mom and Pop restaurants. Restaurants are not like grocery store chains, they are totally different. How can you say Chain restaurants are not owned by Americans, what about those the Brinker owned before he died the other day, what about InandOut. These are just a couple that come to mind.

now we show how subjective food is, I would take TGIF over Applebees any day, I am not a huge fan of either: I like Rudy Tuesdays cause they have an awesome salad bar.

Cityboy, you certainly realize anyone can get food poisining and it may or may not be from the restaurant. How would you know it was not a virus? As for Outback, Nature's message, it happens to be my favorite of all these chains. I used to like Macarroni Grill, but haven't eaten there in ages: I have never like Dead Lobster oh, I mean Red Lobster.

Here is the Los Angeles area TGIF is running specials for $5.00 for an entree. The salads at that price are decent! They also have sandwiches at that price and they are also decent.

Hey! You can't eat at Mickey Dee's for that price. I will take TGIF any day over MacDonalds or the other crap.

If the TGIF by me closes, it will probably be my fault! I have tried to not eat out as often to save a little money. But, I agree, I love their Cobb Salad!
