I think the best way to go from Noe Valley (and don't share this with too many folks)
is to take Clipper street in Noe, to Portola, Laguna Honda to 7th ave in the Sunset. Then bounce on to Crossover Drive from Lincoln at the end of 7th ave. (this part will be the most congested but it's pretty short)
then just head up over the bridge. easy peasy.
This is how i do it too when going to the north bay. Much faster than trying Castro/Divisadero/Lombard.

I guess another way would be to take grand view to market, then to Clayton, and over the hill to masonic...take that to Fulton and then take that to Park Presidio and up to the bridge. That could be slower or faster depending on what part of Noe Valley you live in.

I tried taking Grand View once to get out of Noe Valley and over to 19th Ave. Just getting onto Grand View is absurd, the roads are so steep!

skyao is on a distinguished road
I had to drive to GG park today and tried some of the routes above.

There is absolutely no consistent way to get from Noe/Valley mission to the GG Bridge in under 30 minutes during rush hour. Too many stop signs, one way streets, and random traffic jams even during non peak times.

This means you would have to figure a minimum 30 minutes to just get out of SF and then whatever it takes from GG Bridge to your destination in Marin.

The ferry goes right to Larkspur too, and you can have a cocktail on the ride home.
