Default Moving to Bend, Oregon

I have noticed more and more people moving from California. Why is this?
Is it because Bend is one of the really Sunny places in Oregon?
Are CA folks looking to get out of the rush hour life and move to smaller town?
What is the attraction?

Thanks,
andy

The primary reason given by the people I know is financial, followed by quality of life issues.

The pull is greatest for people that can sell and take cash-out from their California home and pay cash for their newer, larger, Oregon, Washington Nevada, etc. home.

Not to mention that California has just about every tax where as everyone knows Oregon has NO sales tax and Washington has NO State Income tax.

Live in Washington and shop in Oregon... it's the American way.

Even car tags cost less...

The original post smells like advertisement. I've seen a lot of these " everyone wants to move to oregon" posts lately. Honestly, Oregon's economy is not doing that well, it rains A LOT, and the housing prices aren't stellar by any count. Last time I looked, some parts of OR were reaching into the 500k level.
