Default Which areas are the most dangerous in Fairfield?

I am looking to rent a 3/1 or 3/2 in Fairfield or Suisun City. I see some good prices from 1100-1300/months but am not sure how safe some of the areas are. Which streets should I avoid at all costs?

From my memory, generally anything south of Travis Blvd is not that nice. There are some really quaint nicer pockets behind the old downtown area. You'll generally know when you're in a crusty area and I think there are too many pockets throughout the city. West of the freeway is definitely safer/nicer and parts of northern Fairfield are alright (at least they used to be). Generally anything south east of N. Texas St also not nice from what I can remember. I don't know about Suisun. They have revamped it long ago so I've heard it's nice now, but it used to be far worse than Fairfield for crime/gang problems. This was a long time ago though.

Renter1. I live in the Green Valley area of Fairfield and its a really nice area. I would avoid living anywhere close to West Texas and part of North Texas. I lived at the Rolling Oaks apts on Lyon road for 4 years and those are also very nice and safe, but expensive. I am not sure about Suisun city. I like the green valley area as it is also closer to the bay area...
