Oakland "City-Data" out of date !!
Somebody needs to update the purported facts about Oakland, California on City-Data.Com. I could get into specifics but c'mon take a look at the 2005 census data. The economic stuff on here is way outta' touch and doesn't present the current facts about our workforce, wages, consumer purchasing power, and other facts of our economic leverage and capabilities.
Also, from a demographic standpoint, Oakland is no longer a "black town" there are more "asians" and "hispanics" than in 1990 or even 2000 both in pure numbers and percentages and there are now more "whites" than "blacks." Does anybody actually take this site seriously as a reference source?
