Default Relocating from Rocklin to SF Bay Area.... yea!!

Hi all

My family and I lived in the Bay area for about 5 years and then moved up to Rocklin to be closer to family. Well, we've put in our time and are looking to move back to the BA next spring/summer.

We have two children, 4 and 5 yo. My husband is in sales so works mainly from home and needs airport access. We would love a community with some kind of downtown, solid schools (don't have to be EXCELLENT), and preferably houses that are not too cookie cutter. Mature trees, etc are a plus. Walnut Creek is our top contender but are open to Pleasant Hill, Danville, San Ramon.

We make close to $200K with combined incomes. Any input is welcome!

Thank you

Burlingame is near an Airport-a pretty big one at that. LOL

Not many cookie cutter homes, mature trees, nice downtown area. I think we have a winner.

The areas you like are all pretty cookie cutter suburban homes. Only Walnut Creek has a downtown. Danville and San Ramon are about suburbian as you can get here in the Bay Area and the furthest from SFO. Try the Peninsula, lke OP said Burlingame, San Carlos, Palo Alto great cities that are NOT cookie cutter.

You might also want to look into Lafayette, Orinda, and Piedmont. (I've actually never been to Piedmont, but hear great things about it). All good options for you ..and Walnut Creek, like you already mentioned is really nice.
