Default Weather/climate in Sunol/Pleasanton

Hi all. I am wondering how the weather varies between the SF bay area and the other side of the high hill range from Sunol to Pleasanton? I have a upcoming interview in Sunol and based on the many threads I've read, am considering living in Pleasanton - if the job is offered. Is Pleasanton a good choice for ease of commute? It appears to be a straight shot. What is the weather/climate like living in the Sunol-Pleasanton area year round? Hot-Dry, humid, rainy, cool eves? It is so near to SF, yet today the high is 97 in Sunol and 60's in SF. That is a huge difference. Thanks.

The 30 degree difference between Pleasanton and SF is not unusual. During the summer, Pleasanton is usually warm and sunny with low humidity. It only rains around here during the winter months (about Nov to Apr). There is very little fog and wind which is common in SF and along the coast.

Pleasanton itself is a nice middle to upper middle class town. You'll like it there.

The Tri-Valley area has excellent weather as we don't get the morning fog/overcast that you will see on the West side of the foothills. You'll probably average about 7-10 days per summer where the temps reach close to 100, but no humidity. The weather here is hands down the best in the world. Pleasanton is great (schools/parks), but really expensive!
