Smile Moving from NY to Napa area. Help!

Hello,

Our family is looking to relocate to the Sonoma/Napa/Fairfield area. My husband grew up in San Francisco (I grew up in Nevada), but it's been 10 years since we've been back that way.

We are wondering if anyone can shed some light on living in Napa Valley. My husband will be commuting to San Anselmo and is quite aware of the traffic headaches of the 101/37. Our priorities are a good elementary school and as lush and green as we can find (NY spoiled us) all between $300,000 to $400,000. I know with the economy tanking a lot of homes have dropped in price, so hopefully this range isn't too unrealistic.

Can anyone share some suggestions with us?

Thanks!
