I ordered Direct TV to be installed. The tech came today and I learned that Direct TV doesn't have HD services in network TV like ABC, CBS and NBC. I watch programming in these channels a lot and I wanted to switch to a satellite dish thinking that it offers more HD channels.

For those of you who have satellite for TV, are you disappointed that you cannot get HD programming in ABC, NBC and CBS?

Yes, I have comcast now. But in Santa Cruz, the numbers of channels in HD that Comcast offers are pitiful. I read that satellite TV offers more channels in HD, but little did I know that they don't offer them in the major networks.

Do you have AT&T Uverse available to you? It has all the networks in HD and is cheaper.

What exactly is the difference between HD and non-HD television? I have comcast, but not the HD because I did not even know what it entailed when I ordered the service .

When was the last time you bought a TV?

You can go to Best Buy and look at their TVs and have the salesman explain it to you. HDTVs have much clearer picture because picture resolutions are much higher.
