Please send Matzo Brie...I'm dying over here.

Okay, but seriously, WHERE do I have to go to find a Jewish Deli? Not a Kosher RESTAURANT (though it's fine if it is), but a Jewish DELI?

Anyone?

They say that place is closed, but this one is open: Izzy's Brooklyn Bagels - Palo Alto, CA

Hmmph, good luck! I'm Jewish, and my family's been searching for good delis around here for 25 years. Yes we're spoiled east coasters originally, but seriously - is there ANY good Jewish food in the BA? I've heard that Izzy's place is passable, and there are maybe 2-3 up here in the city & north Peninsula (only East West Deli and Brother's come to mind). Maybe we need to open one?

P.S. L'Shana Tova!

(means Happy New Year, to those who don't understand - it's Jewish new year right now)

Thanks for the recommendation. I will look for Izzy's next time I'm in PA.

I'm surprised there isn't more around here...shocked actually.

Gizmo, go for it. We'll come to your opening! And Happy New Year to you, too!

Why would you be surprised? There's not a particularly large Jewish community out this way.

I guess I just never realized that I used to live near a particularly large Jewish community and there were many delis. I guess I did.
