Hello,

We live in San Jose, Ca. Stable full-time jobs are really hard to find. Any job at all has been hard to find. But, we haven't given up and will keep trying every day. We have to move out of our apartment on Christmas since we can't afford rent. We have 2 small pomeranians. We could go to a shelter however they won't allow our dogs. I can't give my babies to the SPCA. I've been trying to find a home for either of them but no luck. My car broke down and is just sitting at a shop. We don't eat every day, and its affecting my health. I am diabetic. Does anyone know of a room and board in exchange for work situation? We have hope that one of us will get a job soon, since I have several interviews coming up. We are both hard working, dedicated, honest and loyal people with great integrity. We both have resumes and can do any kind of handy work, house cleaning, personal assistant stuff and etc. Basically, we are looking for someone who can give us a second chance at life. We know nothing is for free except love. We expect and want to work hard to get back on our feet and be successful again, we just need someone to believe in us and give us a place to start... Thank you and God Bless

I know you don't want to give up the dogs, but here is an idea. If you google "dog rescue bay area" you will find a few groups that will take them in and foster them. I don't know the exact name b/c I worked with cat groups, but I know they are out there. You might be able to make an arrangement to get them back when you're on your feet. That way you could at least stay at a shelter for a while.

You can also get shelter, food, and job counseling through Inn Vision. It might be better for the pets if they have a stable environment rather than putting them through trumoil.

If you have a clean criminal record, are empathetic and kind, and are open to training, you might look under 'Medical" on Craigslist, and contact some of the in home caregiver agencies and get a job as a live in caregiver. This would help you with housing and money while helping someone else who needs care.

If you look under "Pets" on Craigslist, and enter "dog rescue"', there are several that pop up. Contact them and find homes for your dogs. Several dog rescue places will do foster homes for dogs, and there is a chance you could get your dogs back when your housing and job gets stabilized.

There is help to be had with Innvision, Sacred Heart Community services, and churches. They can help you with safe places to live, meals, and showers/phones etc, so that you can interview with jobs.

I wish you the best and hope that 2011 will be better for you both. If you need any more help finding some of these places, please post.
