The Silicon Valley is a very difficult place to meet anyone because everyone works 24/7 to just survive financially here and everyone keeps to themselves and to/on their technology. I was born and raised here and tremendously unhappy, but I have a job and a townhouse so I am stuck here. Don't get me wrong, I definitely have a handful of friends that I completely adore, however overall it is a very cold robotic place to live with everyone attached to their technology. Everyone is married in my townhouse complex. Most people here are in a couple and everyone here is a workaholic. I am a workaholic too - you have to be to financially exist in this area. As far as meeting someone single in your late 30s early 40s here in Silicon Valley it is completely impossible. If you like hiking, good weather, a wide variety of delicious different foods from all around the world, love working hard and long hours, having a wide variety of exercising options, keeping up with the latest technology and do not mind being alone, single and lonely then you will love Silicon Valley.
