Like any situation like this I'd expect it was due to homicidal insanity rather than anything else. Millions of people face racism every day around the world and they don't go around killing their co-workers as a response.

Why do some think the race card is always the issue. Maybe he was having a bad hair day: whatever, it is simply a horrible trajedy and it seems, from what we know he had many problems.

Well it's now been reported that the police shot and killed him this morning sometime after 7 am PST.

Might be speculation, but it's one of those things that people feel might have been preventable if signs were correctly read and proper proactive action was taken. It's definitely a concern at the workplace for many people this morning to reconsider.

Situation ended in a suicide-by-cop shootout this morning after a resident spotted him in her backyard.

Sounds like all the victims were latino - Perhaps A_Lexus, in his knowledge of racism, could tell us why a black man would murder so many latinos for no reason?

From the reports, it sounds like the guy was a pretty crappy employee (making lots of mistakes) and had his shift changed, that's about it.

Huh? Do you want to explain how it would have been preventable?

According some some of the Permanente workers interviewed there was in fact some bad blood at the work place. He may have been the only black guy working there or at least one of only a couple or three.

Ever talk somebody out of doing something stupid, or do you just let it happen? The question here being, was there any opportunity to do so missed here? (And you don't know unless you personally knew the guy.)

Well I see your point. As in many of these cases, however, people don't read the signs. Everyone typically says later, "He/she seemed like such a nice guy/gal. Who would have thought he would do this?"

Yes, yes. It's ALWAYS RACSIM!!! Get over it!!! So a guy gets a bad shift so he has to go off and kill three other people? I wonder how their families must feel not being able to see their fathers ever again???

Why must black people always point the finger at racism everytime something goes wrong? This does nothing to break down stereotypes. I can assure you that white workers get passed over/fired/demoted/ everyday by black employers. When they go postal, it's just that. THEY ARE CRAZY. If a black person does it, it's racism??? Gimme a break. Guess what? I don't have the greatest work hours either, maybe I should go off a few coworkers???
