Default Housemates living free in house

I have 2 people & their dog living in my house for a year. I have asked nothing of them. They have not paid any rent. After a year of helping them, I have asked them to leave. What is the law relating to this when they are not renters, just living with me. Am I required to do anything legally?

If it's your house then it's your choice.
If they are not renters and there is no contract then they have no legal rights.
If they won't leave, call the police.

That's probably the bottom line, but at worst, a three-day quit order. They're just squatters if they're not documented as living there.

This is the correct answer. You can kick them out at anytime and if they don't want to go you can call the police/sheriff and they will have then escorted out.
