i think they have ice skating right across the street by the Circle of Palms (by the SJ Museum of Art). Now, that I think of it, the Art Museum is cute.

Also, there is a big library at 4th & San Fernando streets, a few blocks away with a large children's room. You can also ask them for the cool artwork brochure and look at the artwork throughout the building.

And as others said, the Children's Discovery Musem and the Tech Musem are also close by and are also good choices.

Thanks everyone, for the reassurance and great photos! I wish we had time to go this weekend, already. It looks adorable.

And to those who don't understand the evils of porta-potties vs. regular public flushing toilets, I'm going to wager a guess that most of you are standers and/or have a strong gag reflex. So I DOUBLY appreciate the recommendation for the regular bathrooms, should the need arises.
